Events in the Town of Amherst

Interested in learning more about homesteading topics such as gardening, beekeeping, backyard poultry, animal husbandry, composting, and food preservation? If so, join the Amherst County Office of the Virginia Cooperative Extension for a focus group meeting where participants will discuss the topics that interest them, workshop formats, and timing of classes. Participants will also have an opportunity to serve on a homesteading series planning committee, collaborating with the extension agent to address the needs of Amherst County. Bring your thoughts and suggestions as they explore new programming ideas!
