Take a step back in time to learn about education, entertainment, and farming in Amherst County during the Colonial Era. Interpreters will demonstrate blacksmithing, silversmithing, flax dressing, carding wool, spinning, and book-making. There will also be Revolutionary War soldiers and civilians in camp, a physician/surgeon, a fifer and drummer, and batteaumen.
Children and adults will be able to participate in period games such as graces, hoop rolling, battledore and shuttlecock, quoits, and cup-and-ball. Visitors can also try their hand at writing with a quill pen.
