Readers’ Theater: “Everybody is Somebody!”

 February 7 @ 3:00 pm | $10

Join the Amherst County NAACP at Second Stage | Amherst for a readers’ theater presentation of “Everybody is Somebody!” by Sharon Ponton. This reader’s theater play offers you the opportunity to experience Black History as civil rights icons John Lewis, Diane Nash, Reverend James Lawson, CT Vivian, Angeline Butler, Bernard Lafayette, Ernest Patton Jr., Catherine Burks, and Z. Alexander Looby did — as they fought for their freedom and civil rights during the Jim Crow era in the segregated South. This play is set in Nashville, Tennessee, during the 1960 sit-ins.

  • Tickets may be purchased at the door for $10 per person.
